Have to Purchase Twice? PvZ 360 & One

I have already purchased Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare for my Xbox 360 - do they really expect me to buy the game twice to transfer it over so I can play it on my Xbox One?

PVZ not appearing

He is but not showing ... also noticed that on his 360 under games the PVZ game doesn't have the text 'Xbox One' against it like 2 other games on his list which are appearing. Also the PVZ game on his 360 list only shows the XboxLive cover art rather than
the PVZ art.

 

While it's the same game, they're two different platforms, so each system needs its own copy.

In other news you can get the achievements twice

 

No one said you have to buy it for each console.

 

The mentality of some... just amazes me. How do these individuals make it through a full day of life?

 

Also in other news the game is discounted for Xbox One. Id get it, look at it like this, you get two games for the price of one. Be a smart consumer.

 

I can understand why you would want it to work on both devices. Live is a service and you might think that things purchased on the service would work with other Live devices. Especially since the Xbox brand and Live are integrated. But it does not work
that way. If the devices were backwards compatible it could but this way it cannot. And the One version of the game, although the same in content maybe, it is actually different. You are buying for a new console. Maybe in the future MS will keep these
older systems compatible which would make digital more appealing to me.

 

I use to play the sims 3 on pc but when I got the xbox 360 version yes I had to pay for it. Certain games you will get a discount if you want to get the xbox 1 version and you already have the xbox 360 version. Its two different platforms and you can get
achievements twice.

 

EA doesn't support crossbuy. Its actually fairly rare for a retail game to get it too. I know a few earlier XBox One games had similar on a limited basis. From my understanding it involved people actually giving up their retail copy. Yes I know it was released
as a download too, but the game was still mainly a retail release. Other then that, the only retail game I know that supported it would be Playstation All Stars on PS3. When I bought that it had a download code in it for the Vita version.

 

At the very beginning, there was a program that allowed people to upgrade from Xbox 360 version to Xbox One version for $10 I believe, as a trade in of course, so you'd swap them, not keep both.

It's not transferring it, it's a separate game on another console, and it's discounted just now, so take advantage.
