Have to press A button

Discus and support Have to press A button in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I've come to an issue where I have to press the A button the controller to do anything.     I've come to an issue where I have to press the A button the controller to do anything. This only happens outside of games, though so it's not hardware and it's not the controller.

    Have to press disk drive eject button to read disks...

    I'm not sure if this is normal operation; however, when I insert a game disk into the console's drive, it gets pulled in but nothing happens. I then have to press the eject button (I hear a few clunks and clicks) and then the console reads the disk. This
    seems a bit weird to me.

    Can someone confirm for me if their console will read the disk as soon as the console sucks it in?

    Can't connect to Xbox Live

    Do you have a Kinect connected to your console?

    Could you try reinstall the system update as follows:

    Turn off your console. Press and hold the sync button (the small one you use to connect your wireless controllers). While holding press the power button to turn your console on. Continue to hold the sync button until the dashboard is fully loaded.

    Go to System Settings and choose storage.

    On your controller, press the following button sequence:

    Press the left bumper.

    Press the right bumper.

    Press the X button.

    Press the left bumper.

    Press the right bumper.

    Press the X button.

    I'm afraid that it still occurs with both items disconnected. Currently, the only things plugged into it are the HDMI in (for a TV receiver), a cord for sound, and an HDMI connecting the thing to the projector I use with it.

    I had a similar issue with buttons getting stuck and left stick wandering, I went to my local EB Games (GameStop) and they pulled it apart and cleaned, back to brand new now. You could do it yourself if you had the tools, and watched the videos and felt
    comfortable, that was just my personal choice.

    probably what's causing that is that maybe there is some grass on the controller, an update wont make that work again, what you can try is to open your controller and clean the contact part, there are video on youtube about it, but if you think it is better
    someone who know how to do it does it, then take it somewhere in your city to be fix

    The same is happening to me, my xbox one controller's "X" button will also be activivated turning my console on random times of the day. It does not do this when conneted wired.Please help!
