Have to powercycle modem to connect to live

Everytime I start the Xbox One I have to powercycle my modem and then run a network connection test to be able to connect to xbox live. If i run the test before the modem has locked back in then i have to powercycle the modem again. It's hardwired in and
have no issues with my 360 just on the one.

    :)

Disconnecting from XBL and can't recover gamertag..?

When you connect the modem directly to the XBOX, you will then need to powercycle the modem. Do this by unplugging the power to it for 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. When the lights have gone back to normal, try signing in again using the direct
    modem connection.

  3. [ Guild ] How To PowerCycle

Experience any following issues: Unable to sign-in to Xbox Live, Your games are not launching, Kinect is not performing like it should be ( Kinect won't register your voice ) , Etc. Performing a hard rest on your console, also known
as a power cycle or full reboot, cold restart can help fix this any of this issues.

To perform a hard restart, hold the power button on your Xbox console for 10 seconds while your console is on. This will power down Your console. When the 10 seconds period is over press the power button to power up you console again, And the green start
    up screen will display.

Your cache would be cleared, Some of your setting would be reverted, But your data are preserved, and all your issues should be resolved.

    Alternatively

Xbox 360 Gamers ( Users) can simply go to Settings > System Settings > Storage > Clear System Cache.

THIS OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE ON The XBOX ONE!!

Sorry to hear it. Can you please powercycle the console to see if that helps? You can do this by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

Using whatever the default power mode is. When I turn it on it says I'm connected to live but can't connect to EA sever, only play nhl so not sure if this is an EA issue. I get multiple connection errors if I was to run a network connection test before
I powercycle the modem. Can't connect to network problem with your isp is the most common but also get "DCHP error" and "everything is good but there's some issues on our end". It's obviously not and isp issue everything else works fine except the Xbox One.
This happened on both Nhl 15 and 16

As I understand, after console boot, You can login to Xbox Live, but can't connect to EA servers, without rebooting of Your modem, I'm right?

Do You use wired or wireless connection for Your Xbox One?

It says its connected to xbox live when I login, tried both auto and manually sign in, but if I try to access any online feature it will it will say I'm not connected then have to do the powercycle. EA server is what Im trying to connect to 95% of the
    time. Its a wired connection.

I think it's fair to say that we could need some additional information to have a better undestanding of your situation.

Since the profile you are using to post with doesn't show up as a profile tied to gold subscription, do you have an additional profile on the same console that is tied to a subscription (gold)?

Also something else to consider, how close is your router to other electrical equipment?

If you can try moving the router to another location even if it means having to connect via WI-FI and see if the problem persists.
