I have gold... but I cant download free games - always asks for a credit card- why, if its free , ?????

I don't have a credit card - HOW THE **** AM I SUPPOSED TO GET MY FREE GAMES? This is grossly unfair. It changes my opinion to stay with MS... will move to different platform if ms cant sort this simple thing out.

Basically MS gets live gold subscriptions on the bases of offering fRee games - knowing fully well many many people will not actually be able to download thOSE free games as they don't have a credit card. This is a form of fraud.

NO doubt this complaint will be ignored just like all the thousands of others made about the same thing.

shame on you MICROSOFT for not sorting this after hundred of thousands of complaints about it. don't you care about your customers?

Can't get 360 games with gold.

I am trying to get this months free 360 game. I have to do it on xbox.com because my 360 died.

Problem is I can't because I don't have a credit card registered.

I prefer using prepaid codes when buying stuff so don't need to have a credit card registered so why am I being forced to enter my credit card details for a game that is absolutely free?

why do I need a credit card to receive the FREE xbox 360 games? I don't have a credit card. but I do have xbox gold. so now I really only get half of the free games I'm supposed to

You still need a payment option for the system to "charge" even if it's free. If you're trying to download the 360 games, you would have to purchase them from a 360 in order to bypass the credit card/paypal issue. The 360 store is set up differently than
the store on the One and does not see your Microsoft account balance as a valid payment option.

First off, why do I need a credit card for 360 games with gold when they are supposed to be free?

Secondly, my gold account is fine yet the latest free game with gold (Hand of Fate) asks for a credit card. Is this a screw up or something new and permanent?

Hi there.

I'm from Argentina. I have the Xbox Live GOLD Suscription with the credit card saved.

When I try to download the free game that cames with Games With Gold it pops the message: "You have no valid payment options on file.".

With the message appears the option to add a credit card. But only a USA Credit Card.

How can I do it with a Local Credit Card?
