Have to buy Mass Effect DLC Bring Down the Sky Again??

Having been one of the people who had been having trouble this past week and a half playing a backwards compatible game on their new Xbox One, I was thrilled when MS rolled out a fix. However, I now have a new problem. I can't download the DLC Bring Down
the Sky for Mass Effect without paying for it again. While this DLC only costs a dollar, I am concerned that if Mass Effect 2 and 3 is made backwards compatible (hopefully soon), I will have to pay for those DLCs again..and some of them were considerably more
than a dollar. Everything I read says that the DLCs I buy on the Xbox 360 will be available to download for free on the Xbox One so long as I use the same gamertag (which I have been using since the original Xbox). So what gives? Is there a fix for this?

[/quote]No it doesn't. It doesn't even provide war assets in Mass Effect 3.

 

Hey there, Huntress710! I've moved you over to the back compat forum for better assistance. The Bring Down the Sky DLC should be downloading with Mass Effect (at least, it did for us for the disc version of the game). If you go into Manage Game for Mass
Effect, do you see it located there next to the base game?

 

Apologies, Bring Down the Sky is from the disc. I bought the platinum edition of the game and the dlc is on disc 2 which the Xbox One doesn't recognize. It does not show up under Manage Games. That said, I should mention that both Bring Down the Sky and
Pinnacle Station was there and I downloaded both with no issue when I first got the Xbox One. However, due to all the recommendations on how to fix the connection loss and no profile problem, the entire folder was deleted and reinstalled. After MS rolled out
the fix, Bring Down the Sky no longer shows up as ready to install.

 

Since you've done all the resets, have you uninstalled and reinstalled the game again?

 

I did. Only the dlc Pinnacle Station showed up as ready to install.

On April 1st, I got another update to the game. After downloading the update, Bring Down the Sky showed up. Don't know if it was a general update or customer support, but thanks for taking care of the matter.
