    Have I been hacked?

I am probably just being paranoid, but today when I did the "Xbox watch tv" it switched to tv and gave me this popup:

    [View:http://s10.postimg.org/5brqhvb1l/20140920_144312.jpg:550:550]

I don't have any user on my Xbox with that name. Anyone knows what is going on?

    :)

    have i been hacked???

Let me see if I have this right. Your gamer score was reset to zero (even though it shows you have a gs still and no cheater tag). Your in game stats for MW1 have been reset. Correct?

The only time your gamer score would be reset on your profile is if you earned achievements in an unapproved manner. Wether it is through profile modification via PC or glitching on your console. If that is the case then you would
need to post in the My Live Account was Suspended forum for official answers on why it was reset.

If your in game stats were altered through participation of an infected lobby then there is nothing you can do except create a new XBL account or have friends invite you into matches (if your stats are in the negative). Activision
has already made it clear that they no longer support their older CoD titles and currently have no fixes for players affected by infected lobbies. I should tell you that people who host, advertise and/or participate in infected lobbies are subject to a permanent
account ban. Don't worry the XBL PET can tell if you joined one by accident and left right away or not.

Currently MW2 Hardcore Modes are fine to play. I was on HTDM two days ago for several hours in several different matches and there were no mods/cheats being used by anyone. It was actually quite fun. Also, Black Ops is mod/cheat
free. Those are just two alternatives to the mod infested MW1 and WaW.

Unless you gave out your personal information, including e-mail and password, then no you have not been 'hacked'.

    i have been banned?

For account suspensions, please post in
    forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx
. For console bans, please read
    http://xbox.com/consoleban
. For general info on violations and penalties, please read

    support.xbox.com/.../terms-of-use-conduct
. Please note that console bans are permanent, Microsoft does not un-ban consoles who have been banned. This is because there was a gross violation of the XBOX 360/Live's Terms of Service. Your console will stay
banned, but for more information you should read the links above.

    Have I been hacked?

just click no, it is a targeted ad kind of style system, you have not been hacked, if in doubt email xbox support with that image for them to confirm what it is about.

That is not a targeted ad and is an official pop up when you first use the Guide/TV..

OP I would go into your "sign In" and see if for some reason this name is linked to your account. I would also go to your settings and make sure Xbox Smart Glass is sign in only, not allow on network... or something like that..

Looks like someone tapped into your Network via smart glass

Can not find anything indicating that name should be connected to my account. The smartglass settings on the xbox are set to "Only from profiles signed in on this Xbox".

I think I might email support.

    Have I been hacked?

I talked to support and they assured me that my Xbox had not been hacked. They mentioned that several users had experienced the same problem lately and that it might very well be a glitch. If there indeed was a profile named VisualMonster32 on my Xbox it
was deleted when I chose "No" in the popup.

Wild guess but looking at the
    Profile
it was made on the Xbox One and has no History. My guess would be the "breach" came from inside your own home and someone you live with is not telling you the truth.

How embarrassing.. I just messaged that player, and it was my wife's account.. =/ But I am certain she has not created a profile with that name. Can these names be generated automatically?

Anyway, thanks for all the quick answers!

    I have been hacked.

    1) Change your password right *NOW*.

    2) You should never carelessly place information anywhere! Think of a password as your life, you give it to someone you die! (You lose your account in this case).

    3) You should *NOT* of recovered your gamertag, you should of instantly called the support line!

    4) Contact support right *NOW* and say all of your details what the problem is and make sure to mention that you *DID* recover it or else they will assume it's you.

    Good luck!

    I have been hacked.

This is a very common issue at the moment; I've heard reports that it's either a vulnerability in EA's customer support email system, whereby a certain string of code emailed to them will return anyone's EA Account details, or that EA's phone support are
being social-engineered into giving out account details. Given how widespread and systematic this seems to be, I'd guess it's the former - an automated vulnerability, rather than social engineering.

Regardless, the hack is always the same: once the account details are obtained, several large-value points packs are bought using a linked credit card or PayPal account, until Microsoft's automatic suspicious activity detector locks down the account for
purchasing too many packs at once. The password to the account is then changed, and sold on places like eBay. The purchaser can then log in to the account and buy whatever they want; the DLC or games are then usable on their main gamertag.

The FIFA 12 connection may simply be because it's a very popular game, especially amongst young people, whose parents may be unwittingly buying these "great deals" on MS Points via eBay, not knowing or understanding that they're being sold someone's account
details and that this is Wrong. FIFA 12 Ultimate Team packs are only sold via the in-game DLC menu, and buying one will result in the related achievements being unlocked, hence why most hack victims have a few FIFA 12 achievements on their profile.

I was confused as to how the EA Account details would yield access to someone's Xbox Live account - then I remember (or seem to) that some EA games will prompt the user to link an EA Account the first time they try to go online with an EA title. The user
isn't given the opportunity to change the username and password - a linked EA Account is simply created based on the user's Xbox Live details. I remember mine being created when I used "The Simpsons Game" for the first time. Lots of people on these forums
are blaming the hacked users, saying things like "You shouldn't reuse your passwords!" when this isn't actually the case.

    I have been hacked.

no point contacting support they are useless. I am just off my 25 day investigation and they have said wrong information added to the orginal call and I will have to wait another 25 days. Not acceptable. I will now be canceling my two live accounts for
    my household.

GG is an an abbreviation for good game. I wouldn't accept party invites from unknown people though if you're worried about a hack.

    Have I Been Hacked?

File a UA with XBOX Live Support. Another one... sheesh.

More advice, when all this settles for you (UA resolved, account returned) -- create a brand new WLID and move your XBL Gamertag to it. Tell no one. Do not use it for any other service.
