    Have gold live online but every game says I need live to play online


    So I just bought the console less than a week ago and applied the 30 day gold live trial. But every game that I try and play online I get a message that I need to get live in order to play online. I also get an annoying popup every time i turn on the console
    to buy xbox live gold. I even wasted a 14 day xbox live gold card about an hour ago so this is BS, seems I wasted the 30 day trial because in my account online under subscriptions and services it says I still have 30 days, while the 14 day that I applied
    isn't anywhere to be seen but I applied it through console. Thinking of getting a refund for this console as this is such a hassle. Never have problems like this with ps4.

    Xbox live gold

    I just renewed my son's Xbox live gold, got a confirmation and was taken out of my account. But every time he gets online to play one of his games, it says he needs to sign up for Xbox live gold. WHY???

    Ok I just noticed something.

    When I log into account.xbox.com and go to subscriptions it tells me to buy xbox live

    When I log into the microsoft account (same credentials) under subscription and services it says:

    Xbox Live Gold

    Expires on

    10/25/2015

    So i don't know what is wrong, but xbox.com is not syncing with my microsoft account. I am using the same login on both

    The Xbox Live Gold free trial offers a large portion of the Xbox Live Gold benefits, however, some benefits of Gold do not apply during the free trial.

    Hello again, you can play the game without any problems, but every paid game that has online mode needs live Gold or Ultimate, only free ones like Fortnite for example don't need Live Gold to play online.

    There really are some games that don't require a Game Pass or Live Gold subscription so you can play online, fortnite or Call of Duty Warzone are two examples of games that don't need a subscription to play online, but the vast majority do, Halo, Forza, Gears of War, Battlefield, Fifa, pretty much every paid game, needs Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate to play online.

    you need Xbox live gold to play online, as rainbow six is an online only game as far as I know, you need gold to play it

    Xbox live gold is included in GamePass ultimate
