Have bought live gold renewal for xbox 360 and it is still saying it's locked

I changed debit card so my access to live gold was suspended. I have just renewed it using a new card, my laptop says my membership is valid but my xbox is still saying it is locked

They also work with the free subscriptions so people can try out the features & any games there offering before they spend $50 for a year of xbox live gold, But once your sub runs out you will no longer be able to play said game's you download on your xbox one

If you have an xbox 360 and downloaded any of the free xbox 360 game's with gold and your sub runs out you can still play your xbox 360 game's you downloaded even if you don't ever renew for xbox live gold again

xbox one will just lock you out till you renew your subscription and then once your subscription is renewed you can play all your free game's you downloaded & bought for free thru xbox live gold

 

Why was I not included?

Long living customer? I've had the same account for almost 10 years now, I bought my 360 day one, and this promotion is intended to incentivize people to purchase the Xbox one. Yet I never received a code, so I wonder what the criteria is. Perhaps it's for
people that have automatic xbox live gold renewal. I usually just purchase the xbox live cards.

 

Your showing as a gold member. Try running your Network test again and see if it refreshes your gold status

 

Try to reset your console's connection first by going to: SETTINGS > SYSTEM > NETWORK SETTINGS > Select your NETWORK DEVICE > CONFIGURE NETWORK > ADVANCED SETTINGS > RESTORE TO FACTORY DEFAULTS. This will make your console's connectivity get reset. After
this, turn-off and on your console then go to: SETTINGS > SYSTEM > NETWORK SETTINGS > SETUP YOUR NETWORK > TEST XBOX LIVE CONNECTION. If resulted to all Green then this means that your console's connection to Xbox Live is good. If not, then check where the
RED X MARK would appear. After all these, try to check your Xbox Live Gold again.

 

You say your access was suspended. Was this due to a billing issue? If it is then you won't be able to add another membership, even a prepaid one, until the billing issue is fixed.

If you owe any money your account will be locked out until it is paid. Give phone support a call and speak with them about it. They should be able to work with you to get your account back in good standing.
