  2. Solved: Kinect failed to power on.

Problem: The Kinect would fail to power on every time I booted my Xbox from power saving mode. I'd have to unplug and replug in the Kinect for it to work.

Solution: I have the Hauppauge Xbox One USB TV Tuner. Whenever this was connected to my Xbox, the Kinect would disappear on the next hard boot. It didn't matter which port it was installed on, or if I ran it through a powered USB hub or not.

Hypothesis: An OS updates to the Xbox One changed the device initialization process and somehow the Hauppauge Tuner initialization would block/intercept the Kinect device initialization.

    XBone OS: 10.0.10586.1202

    Kinect Version 4.0.3196.0:7

A bit more of the Saga for those who are interested:

    * I first noticed this problem when my Xbox One would fail to turn off the TV. My Kinect, which I use as an IR blaster, wasn't powering on. My device setup hadn't changed for quite some time.

    * The Kinect would work fine after I unplugged / replug it in.

    * The Kinect would continue to work if I used the Instant On power saving mode. This lead me to suspect it was a device initialization issue, but first I wanted to rule out a USB port or power consumption issue.

    * I tested with the Hauppauge on the front left port. Still nothing. I noticed that the device (Tuner) was being initialized very early in the console boot process (the LEDs would come on and then go off again). This is what makes me suspect an initialization
    bug.

    * I tested with the Hauppauge on both ports via a powered USB hub (To rule out a power draw problem.) Still didn't work

So now I'm stuck with leaving the Hauppague TV Tuner disconnected most of the time until I want to watch over the Air TV.

Here is hoping that Microsoft can patch the XBox OS so I don't have to keep hotswaping the tuner.

NOTE: I also have a Seagate 4GB external drive that I left alone during this whole process.

Hauppauge Tuner for XBox One not recognized

I purchased the Hauppauge TV Tuner for Xbox One. When plugged in the two lights come on for about ten seconds then go out. The Xbox never recognizes it's presence. According to Hauppauge the lights are supposed to stay on so thinking
it was defective I got another one. It's doing the exact same thing.

I've tried all the USB ports with and without the extension cord. I've tried plugging in with the Xbox on and off.

The Xbox is network connected and up-to-date.

USB media drives are recognized fine by the Xbox and the tuner is recognized by a computer.

So the problem is looking like it's something to do with the Xbox. Ideas?

Getting ‘We’ve lost your tv lineup.’ Message. When I go through the setup process, it takes me right back to the ‘We've lost your tv lineup.’ Screen again. Fix this! I just want to watch tv!

Same issue. Using Haupage usb tv tuner. Can't watch anything.
I'm using the Hauppauge as well.

TV Tuner only works on side USB socket

Is it the offical xbox tv tuner, i have that and it's working perfectly in the back USB port.

Try uninstalling and then installing the tv app while the tuner is in the back port, that might help.
