I'm sorry but free gamertag changes are not an option, there is no other way then to pay for the change.

If you get a lot of hate then please block those profiles or disable non friends from messaging you

And if is really bad what those others say/text then you will need to report them for harrasment:

Well as a kid--not a teen--you're not actually supposed to be on Xbox LIVE without a guardian supervising you. So I'm sure that if your legal guardian saw you were being harassed they'd pony up the $10 for a gamertag change.
