    Has your controller ever overheated before?


    recently I bought an xbox one controller which I believe was the winter forces one. One night I left it on the charger and when I woke up I could smell my controller was burning. Right next to the D-pad the controller was burning hot! So I was wondering
    if anyone else has had this issue or if it’s something that is rare to happen? I figure that the reason it overheated was because I was charging my controller with a 3rd party micro USB.

    I play with the control wired in a long time and never had this problem.

    Thanks and I did I switched to the licensed play and charge kit.

    Thanks I received a black xbox one controller with no charge. I've also made the investment and bought a play and charge kit. I've had one before except my dog chewed it up. thanks for the response!
