Has there been any word about a Battlefield 5 in 2014?

Wondering if a digital purchase of this game is worth it but not if BF5 comes out in Nov. 2014.

Any rumors yet?

Backward compatibility

I know that there has been some changes to the Xbox One but has there been any word about backwards compatibility?

I'm having the same problem after I downloaded the game today, has there been any word about a fix?

 

Rumor was yes a Battlefield a year, although with the disaster that unfolded with BF4 it's now hard to tell.

EA has went on record saying they've made mistakes, although went on to say games now 'evolve' and are not just periodic releases... so leaves it kind of open for them to release a broken game and spend the rest of the time evolving (aka fixing) it.

If it is coming in 2014 expect an E3 announcement, personally I hope not.

 

I think there will be a Battlefield game this year, however I don't think it will be Battlefield 5. There were some rumors about it being more of a Police/SWAT kind of game and will probably something more along the lines of Bad Company rather than a full
blown Battlefield game.

Also it is not being produced by DICE as they will be focusing their resources on Star Wars: Battlefront.

 

Thanks guys. I think the game is great online. I guess I have more patience for a game I used to play on my old PC back in 2001-02. I was one of the original battlefield players so how the game has evolved is amazing. Granted I'm now married with kids
so my gaming time has been totally slashed in the last 6 years. Another reason I like the digital download is as u get older, you tend to be spoiled and tire of your kids getting their little fingers on the disc. Best Buy is giving close to 30 for trade
in on this game so I might trade my disc for digital copy and hopefully it goes on sale around e3.

 

yeah ill buy it tho, bf has becme so ingrained my hands just do the thing, its almost not fun anymore, but that destruction keeeps bringing me back, long as theres a good hc

 

I'm think'n they should fix this one first....if DICE isn't going to let me rent my own server (because apparently there were like 3 available for the whole planet to share)...then DICE should atleast give more more than a mere dozen ''official'' servers
to choose from..because I don't want to play on other people's rented servers after all the admin-related DOOSHbaggary that went on with BF3....so I either want to rent my own server where I won't boot anyone, not even the half dozen snipers on my team dryhumping
the vent pipes on distant roofs ....or I want to play on officials, because I know for a fact that atleast 90% of the other server admins out there are on nerdgasm inspiring power trips kicking out anyone who fire a digital round in their direction

 

17-0 on zavod scraping the roofs with the aa gun, i just kept dropping the soap and they just kept pickin it up

 

They just announced Far Cry 4 for the next gen systems! It's out this November! This is the game I'm most looking forward to.

 

Battlefield 2143....gimme 64 player lobbies with destruction and mechs, maybe some jetpacks but with Battlefield physics....not that Titanfall crap....6v6 is lame....never happen ofcourse, it's just too good of an idea

I suppose SW Battlefront 3 will be like I'm suggesting, but that's a year and a half away and because it's pne the few titles I'm REALLY looking forward to it will likely be delayed over and over again till they release a half finished POS....remember Aliens:Colonial
Marines?...announced in 2007 and scheduled to be released in 2008 and it finally came out in 2013.....yeah, they ruined it, and I fully expect them to do the same to Star Wars.

we keep getting promised "awesome next gen masterworks" of gaming that wind up being run-of-the-mill at best....I was looking forward to Elder Scrolls Online, then the PC reviews came out(PC is supposed to be the better platform and if it sucks there), not
to mention XBL announced the monthly subscription fee.....Destiny?....gonna be Defiance with slightly better graphics (we hope)...after KAOS ruined the FFOW franchise with that Homefront abomination I lost all faith that any of these guys could make a truly
great game again.....no, now it's just release a half finished game then spend the next year finishing it in the form of patches

 

Far Cry 3 was great but the multiplayer was not on the same level as even a broken BF4.

I had fun in the co-op multiplayer mode even though each mission seemed to drag on and take a bit long.

Sorry, but Battlefield addicts don't play the game for the single player modes.
