Has the movies and tv app on the Xbox 360 already been shut down?

"You can use the apps you already have on your Xbox 360 and redownload them from your download history for as long as the developer supports the service.

After July 29, 2024, no new app download acquisitions will be supported on Xbox 360, so be sure to download any apps you wish to use before that date or refer to your download history to redownload previously acquired apps after that date.

Also, after July 29, 2024, the Microsoft Movies & TV app will no longer function on the Xbox 360."

Do you receive an error message when you try to launch it?

You can clear the system cache to test it.

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage.

Highlight but don’t select a storage device, and then press the Y button on your controller for Device Options.

Note It doesn't matter which storage device you choose. This clears the cache for all storage devices.

On the Device Options screen, select Clear System Cache.

When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

Hi Rodrigo. I've done all the troubleshooting you have listed. It still doesn't launch on the 360. A screen pops up stating the service is currently unavailable.

Is it possible to get microsoft to at least say that the service has shut down? If they announced that the old 360 halo servers shut down, then they can at least say movies and tv shut down.

When was the last time that you have watched your movies from the app?

Also, there has been no announcement about this being down but other work around is to watch the movies on other devices instead for the mean time.

It wasn't related to Destiny 2 in my opinion. It was the Microsoft Movies and TV app that took over and played it. Not the browser.

After shutting the movies and TV app down I went back to my game, logged in again and it did not happen again. I will post here if it does.
