    Has Microsoft got any plans for the programming language "Kode"?


    They developed a programming language for Project Spark from Kodu Game Labs which is a pretty powerful gateway language for beginners wanting to learn how to make computer games. It seems a crime to have developed this and then do nothing with it. after
    they shut down the game servers. Would they consider allowing the community to develop an open source Project Spark 2 which uses the tile-based language, or do they have plans for it, so that my 2 years of learning kode was not a complete waste of time?

    I am just starting to learn the Python Programming Language.

    I have been at it for a little over a month now.

    I am wondering if we will be able to program Python Games for the Xbox One.

    So, do you guys think it will be possible to create a game for the Xbox One using the Python Language or a variant of the Python Language?

    Variants of Python include: CPython, IronPython, Jython and Cython.

    I really want to make a game for the XBox One. Nothing big, just a small indie-game. But I don't know any other programming languages except Python.

    Will you please consider selling most of your XBox Series X consoles directly to consumers?

    As this is a community forum, we don't have any information on what Microsoft plans to do. Microsoft did have the Console Pilot Program which allowed Insiders only to purchase the console. There's been no word on if they'll do that again. Otherwise, the Microsoft Store has had them in stock on and off as well.

    The preview program for the friends and family plan has ended so it's not currently possible to upgrade to that plan.

    More Options for Backwards Compatibility

    With the release of the handful of games made backwards compatable for the Xbox 20th anniversary, the program has ended. There are no plans to make any more games backwards compatable.

    changing language or region

    I'm talking about setting language to English in the OS not in game. In game voice commands can be programmed for numerous languages and selected by the language the game is running in so they are not an issue.

    Obviously the commands set up in the One's OS can be recognised in any selectable language in the menus. Why not allow the console to be in Italy but the voice recognition in English? Accent and language has already been dealt with by the programmers for
    the languages available on the console.

    I do use voice recognition on my smartphone and strangely it still recognises me in my own language and my own accent whether I am in London, Paris or Oslo. I'd take a guess it would work on the space station as well. I just don't understand why a next
    gen console can't let me speak in one of the languages it is programmed to recognised in any location.
