    Has anyone tried outputting sound to their pc using a creative sound card?


    Been wanting to get xbox audio on my pc so i can use my pc headset for game audio (now that i can use party chat using the xbox app) and rather than waiting to see if Microsoft will ever add support for streaming audio only via the xbox app i decided to
    dig out my old x-fi titanium sound card that has optical in on it. From what i can gather the sound card i have does not support DD or DTS decoding for the optical input but DOES support stereo but i have been unable to get it to work.

    With some searching i seen people were able to do this with the same sound card (x-fi titanium) on 360 when pcm was enabled but haven't been able to find anything about doing this on xbox one. I have have the xbox one set to output stereo uncompressed via
    optical and have tried every available sample rate on my pc along with countless other settings all over the place and nothing seems to work at all.

    I am curious if anyone has managed to get xbox audio to work on their pc using creative sound cards and if so what they did to get it to work.

    Hdmi pc screen sound options

    I recently bought a samsung LED screen for my pc, It has a HDMI slot on the back, I connect my newest model black xbox via HDMI and get a great picture, But i have no sound as my LED screen has no speakers, Is there any way i can hook something up to the
    xbox to recieve sound, Ive tried a optical out cable to a sound blaster creative box, But got no sound, I also tried a Av and HDMI cable at the same time, But just get a black screen and no sound, Has anybody got any solution to my problem, Thanks,

    okay so i am using a wired xbox controller and its not a mic problem because i sound perfect with my broken mic and on my pc but on my wired i sound very messed up and if anyone has had this problem tell me

    In order for me to hear everything around me, I just bought a pair of Astro A40's. Worth the buy. Can hear Xbox, PC, And chat at the same time. Also can add a laptop, my Ipad or even my phone for music.

    Just so simplistic Has anyone tried outputting sound to their pc using a creative sound card? :p

    Unless you have Dolby Decoder with three 3.5mm outputs for 5.1 or run the 360s optical out into your PCs sound card and have it monitor it to decode the signal into analog for you getting surround sound isn't going to happen. I have a couple X-fi soundcards
    and there can be a delay introduced when the sound card is processing a Dolby or DTS input and outputting a corrected analog output. Has more to do with the drivers. Creative drivers have a bad reputation especially when it comes to simultaneous multi-channel
    input and output.. I would look for a Dolby Decoder box that has an optical in and three 3.5mm outputs unless always running your PC when you play and buying a $60-70 soundcard sounds like a good solution. The Crystalizer does nothing but act like a semi real
    time equalizer and EAX is only useful if your running a game on the PC.

    You can, if you use a Audio Capture Card, with both Inputs & Outputs on your PC... Then use the Equalizer/Mixer Software on your computer, to sound like Darth Vader etc..

    Delentheus has posted a link to a Logitech 5.1 Adapter that the Logitech X540 can utilise for all the 3.5mm jacks (FL/R - Center - RL/R) for the standard setup connection that a PC sound card would use to output 5.1 to the Logitech X540...

    So move on already & stop arguing...
