Has anyone played RAGE?

I'm looking to try and bolster my 360 collection with "hidden gems" or games that are under-rated. Spotted RAGE today for only a fiver. Surely it's worth the five quid? Thought I'd ask here first and see if anyone has tried it though.

Has anyone played slaughter dome?

Title says it. Has anyone played the creature slaughterdome yet? I have not been able to find it, I am a level 12 and have no clue how to get into it. I have restarted the game and still no sign of it. Anyone know how to get to it? Thanks.

 

To anyone who has played Oblivion...

I'm tempted to have another crack at Oblivion as a mage. Never really paid any attention to it before, always liked the stealthy ways of the Dark Brotherhood.

 

Easily worth £5.00.

It is one of the best looking games on the XBox 360.

iD software are the people who invented the world of the FPS with "Wolfenstein 3D" back in the day.

"Rage" looks stunning and has some great guns in it... but for some reason it all falls kind of flat.

Something's not right and despite the great graphics you'll find yourself getting bored.

3 discs to install so it takes up a bit of space but £5.00 is definately worth the price of admission, allowing you to see what is so amazing about this game and so frustratingly dull at the same time.

If you're looking for more to add to your collection, I'd also recommend these games Bulletstorm, Enslaved, Mafia 2, Alan Wake, Sniper Elite 2.

Not sure if they count as hidden gems, but they're all the games that took me by surprise and really enjoyed playing. They all should be fairly cheap to now.

 

"Mafia II" is a great game.

They did a superb job with that one.

 

Mafia II was a great,really enjoyed that. As said,Rage is definately worth a fiver.

Looks awsome but does get a bit boring towards the end....and then there's THAT ending.

 

As others have said, easily worth a £5.

 

I played Rage and beat it. Is it worth £5? NO! Its worth way more than that to be honest. It's worth the $60 price tag, you will just be crushed by the ending.

 

RAGE was a great game with a terrible ending which left you feeling it was just an extended tech demo for their latest graphics engine. Those boomerang weapons were quality though! Mafia II is one of my fave 360 games marred by horrific DLC. You can probably
pick up Dark Sector and The Darkness for a couple of quid each now. I imagine both look dated being early releases but good gameplay rarely dates.

 

Agreed., great game worst ending ever! Would echo Drunky on all those other titles as well, especially Enslaved which is one of my favourite 360 titles.

 

Worth a fiver. Singularity is also a hidden gem of a game.

 

Yes I really enjoyed that as well, that's the Russian research island story isn't it? I had forgotten about that game?

 

The Darkness doesn't play well. It's an incredible game though, needs to be played.

I got RAGE for €3 ages back, the three discs kind of put me off. Need a new hard drive.

 

I got about halfway through Darkness 2 and lost interest, but did enjoy the first one.
