How to file a complaint

1.Press the Guide button on your controller.

2.Select Friends, and then go to the Players tab.

3.Select File Complaint. Then, select File Complaint again on the next screen.

4.Select one of the following general reasons for filing the complaint:

◦Profile: The player's Gamertag, personal picture, or personal information contains inappropriate material.

◦Text and Voice Communications: The player used vulgar, hateful, harassing, or threatening language in voice or text communications.

◦Video Communications: The player was vulgar, hateful, harassing, or threatening in video communication.

◦Tampering: The player tampered with a game, an Xbox 360 console, Xbox Live, or the feedback system.

◦Select one of the following specific reasons for filing the complaint:

◦Profile: Gamertag, Personal Picture, Personal Info, Player Content

◦Text and Voice Communications: Text Message, Voice Message, Voice Chat, In-Game Voice

◦Video Communications: Picture Message, Video Chat

◦Tampering: Feedback Tampering, System Tampering, Cheating

◦Select File Complaint. (Or select Don’t File if you decide not to file the complaint.

This video is a lie.

Many people go unpunished after being reported by me. I report people that have modded profiles, modded gamerscore, cursing and racial slurs in their bios and many of them never get banned. Funny thing is that many of them are xbox live ambassadors. So it
seems like people get special treatment.

@OP, you can't file a complaint against another user if they are not on your friends list, have never played with/against them in a multi-player game or sent a message. He can file a complaint but one complaint isn't enough to get you banned.

The File A Complaint system as been designed this way to stop mass number of people filing false complaints in order to have someone banned. Just block communications with him/her and don't except any friend requests or reply to any messages from anyone
you don't know. and you will be fine.

Once he realise's that you have blocked comms, he/she will just move on to another unlucky user, However rest a sure that every time some troll does this he/she themselves gets a complaint filed against their own gamer-tag for harassment and will no doubt
get themselves banned for cyber bullying.
