    Harrasment on Xbox Live


    An Xbox live player is harassing me, sending out personal information about me to his recent players and friends; including my IP adress, home adress, and school. His gamertag is [mod removed], this is serious and I've been trying to reach
    Xbox through reporting, talking to Xbox live, and Microsoft techs and nothing has been done about this.

    Firstly, do not shame people by posting their gamertag on the forums, it's against the rules. Second thing is to file a complaint against him, and last thing you should do is block communications so he can no longer message you.

    Xbox Live harrasment

    I am being harrased by multiple people from the XBL community about my Gamertag: this has been going on for the past year. I attempted to change my gamertag however the gamertag change will not let me change the gamertag and I am in desperate
    need of changing the gamertag. I have changed my privacy settings however all that has caused me to lose contacts with my friends over xbox. May I please be granted a Gamertag change. For all of this I do have evidence and proof with pictures that I am being
    harassed and that I attempted to change my gamertag. Thank you

    As has already been mentioned please block the other player and this should prevent them form being able to send you any messages. Additionally please do not start messaging or trying to communicate with the other person as this may result in an enforcement
    action being taken against yourself.

    Hey, If you are receiving these types of messages, you can block communication with that user all together. Just open one of the messages in question and select “Block Communications”. This will prevent the user from sending you any more messages. Check

    Please don't post your real name or gamertag here, it exposes it to all including the Junior Hackers of North America, which creates a security risk for you.

    Please also don't Name and Shame
    which is strongly discouraged by long standing guidelines of the forum administrators.

    You have done the right thing by reporting him; have you muted him and blocked messages from him? I'd recommend that as well.
