Well I just got my Directv back on. Have a 4k LG,4k receiver, and an xbox one s as well. I have read a forum that's several months old and found out there's no 4k passthrough. If it's a software problem,has it been solved using update?

I can't get Mine Craft to do anything, If I play off line it stops at the finalising screen, when I'm on live it stops right after it asked me where to save. Game is brand new.....can any one help????

Hardware or Software Problem

Hello,

Since the first update in 2018 my console has been having issues. One of said issues is games, apps, and everything else taking too long too start (even xbox idle). The only way to fix this is to power cycle, however it is only fixed for 15 minutes to an
hour before I have to power cycle again. When this happens I cannot do anything on my console game or app wise. I have tried to factory reset and got no results, even tried to edit startup settings (which seemed to help others) and still got nothing.

Any help would be very appreciated, would love to be able to play my Xbox without my games black screening after half an hour(ish).

P.s.) As of yesterweek games will not install or download after 15-45 minutes without a power cycle.

Oh and my console is the first XB1 to be released after the "Day One" Edition. Got mine on day 1 but it was the normal version.

The passthrough only supports 1080p signals through HDMI.

As far as I know, there has been no talks about any software updates to allow 4K passthrough.

It's best to connect your 4K box directly to your TV or your 4K receiver.

if a power cycle will only fix it temporary, then I suggest doing a factory reset (with keeping Games and Apps installed)

Keep in mind that you will need the account credentials in order to download your profile again.

If this doesn't fix the issue either, then it might be a hardware issue and I suggest contacting Xbox Support to see if they have any other steps to try.

Still having issue with console not turning on? Please make sure to follow ALL the steps listed on this link:

support.xbox.com/.../console-wont-power-on. That will help to properly isolate if it's an issue with your console or power supply.

If you continue to experience some unusual activity on your system, you may to reset your console and follow the steps:

You can try to first option: reset and keep my games & apps, if issue still persist, try the last option: reset and remove everything.

How long exactly is since release? One s, or original one? Have you tried performing a hard reset? Holding power button on console until it shuts itself down. Wait a full minute ave turn back on.

And there were issues with Xbox core services today as well.
