Hardlined in but losing Live connection every 2 - 20 minutes

I am currently experiencing the following issue:

- Xbox Live is disconnecting service every 2 - 20 minutes

- Loss of Xbox Live keeps me from being able to play my digital games and apps

These are the fixes I have attempted:

- Hard Reset

- Port Forwarding, NAT is wide open

- Cache Clear and Hard Reset

- Delete Profile, Hard Reset, Add Profile

- Checked Router for service drop off or lack of signal, there has been none

- Contacted my service provider for solution, port forwarding was the option... next option was IP passthrough but leaves me with absolutely no firewall protection so I am wary to do so.

What I plan to try next:

- Factory Reset of system, install profile and try again.

What else can I do here if the factory reset does sweet EFF all? I keep myself hard lined in with a cat 6 cable to make sure I have the best data passing I can possibly get to the router so I don't know why this is such a big issue with Xbox One only, my
360, PC, tablet and phone work perfectly fine on the wireless connection with no drops in service so I am totally at a loss as to what the problem really is and how to remedy it.

Xbox Randomly Loses Connection, Have to Reboot or go to Dash to Reconnect

Over the past couple of weeks, about since the most recent update, my connection has been really bad on my console. I have the older, white 360 connected with the 2 antenna black WiFi adapter.

When I turn my console on I am automatically signed into Live, but about 10 minutes later I lose connection to Live. (This happens whether playing multi-player online or playing another game like Skyrim offline, but connected.) If I try to reconnect it seems
to fail every time I try. A few times playing Skyrim I have successfully connected about half-an-hour after losing connection. Earlier today, after losing connection, I sat and waited trying to reconnect once every minute or two for 15 minutes to have more
info to post here. During this time, the reconnection failed every single time.

Sometimes when I go to the dashboard I am immediately automatically signed back into Live or am able to do by choosing to reconnect from the dash. A lot of the time though I have to turn the 360 off and then back on again to reconnect to Live.

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? I've been stuck playing offline games because there isn't a point in spending 3 minutes turning the 360 on, waiting through loading screens, and joining a game to play 7 minutes before losing connection.

Xbox Live Disconnecting?

having the same issue tonight. Has been fine until tonight. Now getting dropped from xbox live in mid game about every 20 minutes and when I try to connect again I get cant connect to xbox live.... test your connection. But instead I try to connect again
and I get in. Play for about 20 minutes and get dropped again....

My NAT is open.

 

are you using a gateway from your isp ?....if yes , that's most likely your problem , list the brand and model of your network equipment....

 

Yes I am, the one I am using is Hitron CGNM-2250 modem/router I believe.

 

I cant find info on that exact model but Hitrons have known disconnection issues....I would get a plain MODEM ONLY and a cheap netgear router.......you can try and reset the Hitron to factory defaults by pushing in the little button for 30 seconds....you
could also try and put the Hitron in "bridge mode" which will make it a modem only and plug the xbox straight into it and test for disconnections....sometimes your isp has to enable "bridge" for you....

 

and , have you tried the xbox on wireless?

 

I literally just posted this myself I keep getting disconnected from live every 20-30mins but it only lasts for 2-3seconds then connects straight back like nothing happend. And it's as you say unbelievably frustrating, can't play a game, won't save progress.
I don't know about up addresses but this only happens since update so it should be a common issue no,?
