Harddrive failure and replacement

Seems like a harddrive failure to me. Try removing the harddrive from your system and reinstall it.

You could also try to reformat it, but if it's broken, the error will return shortly.

If all those options won't work, contact Xbox Support to get it replaced.

The first thing to try is to remove the hard drive and add it again like mentioned here:

support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive to see if that helps. That does fix the problem sometimes.

If that still fails then you might have a hardware failure and it would be best to try the harddrive on a different console to determine if it is the harddrive or the console that is having the failure.

This is definitely a harddrive failure. You will have to replace it or get it repaired if possible.

If you want to be safe (ie sure you have no problem with the console), use only your usb and try to do everything you had problems with.

I hate dying consoles but I think your's is fine even if the harddrive is busted, hopefully.

It sounds to me that you are having hard drive issues. If everything is deleted off of your HDD without cause that would be a big indication that it is becoming faulty. As far as your saves if you didn't back them up or save them in the cloud then they are
gone and I am sorry to hear about this. As far as everything else you may have had (anything you purchased from the marketplace.) That stuff is licensed to the gamertag that downloaded it and the console it was downloaded to. So you can simply just re download
it.. Sorry about your saves. You can call customer support and let them know what happened and see if they think that the HDD needs repair. If anything happens again like things vanishing off of your HDD you may want to use a thumb drive and see if it happens
and that will let you know if it is the HDD. Also save your game save files in the cloud from now on. You can always copy them to your HDD if you really want to but just in case this ever happens again all of your saves will be backed up and you will not lose
them. Again sorry to hear this has happened to you

I recovered my gamertag and everything is deleted. How could this happen? Is there anything I can do?
