Hardcore Tips? (Minor Spoilers)

It depends on the Hellfire Ring 'roll' you get. I have some pretty impressive ones for my characters. They are the strongest rings I have. You just need to make a lot of them to get some nice ones. Don't just settle for one. I equip my followers with
them too for the added experience, magic & gold find (with the right roll).

 

I've created 10 Infernal Machines and still haven't gotten an organ to drop. Very frustrating. This is with 345% Magic Find and Nephilam Valor.

 

Ah.. the organs have a 100% drop rate on master V. You need to have the full stack (3) of nephalem valor as well. I have a special set of gear for my barbarian that I use when soloing for organs on master V. I sacrifice high damage for high resist, high
life steal & high health when fighting the uber bosses.

 

Interesting. However I have trouble killing them on Master II and Master III settings. I think Master V is out of the question, that is until I find some different gear to keep me alive.

 

I've had the materials for the ring drop on Master I w/ about 275% Magic find. What I did was farm the materials for the book with 2 other friends. When we each had 3 or 4 books, we ran it about 10 times.

 

What I was doing wrong is that I only had Nephalem Valor once instead of 3 stacks. After getting 3 stacks the organs seem to drop most every time on master I

 

I like farming on 'Master I' because it quicker to run through it...does the Hellfire Ring carry over to a Hardcore character?

And this is also true vice versus - you can't transfer anything from Hardcore to a non-Hardcore game.

If I had a Hardcore Character reach level 60 and died, I would probably be so pissed off that I wouldn't play this game again. I'm perfectly happy with the Non-Hardcore Mode

With my luck I would teleport to a players location, thinking it was clear, and die...it's happened before.

"Never say never" right? I'll probably make a HC when I'm satisified where I'm at in Normal mode.

 

I'm running solo master 4 farming with my witch doctor lol hardcore is more of a thrill just learn to not die I'm looking for more players so if anyone's interested add me

 

I went all the way to level 60 and beyond on hardcore with a Witch Doctor and found him perfect for HC. Between his plethora of minions that foes focused on instead of me and the ability to stand away from the action...

I would not play him co-op however.. just too much uncertainty with the ability of getting double teamed by enemies. Of course I am thinking of public co-up, which is pretty much all I've played. Maybe it is less uncertain with personal friends playing with
you

Blizzard doesn't allow any of the really elite enemies until you get to hell mode, so you have plenty of time to ramp up. I did come close to dying on 3 or 4 occasions and that would have sucked big time, but it was almost always due to my getting careless
from success... At higher levels just running face to face with a character clearly meant for distance work.

To be fair, however, I did not play HC until I played all the way through the game 5 times as a sorcerer and to level 10 or so as both barbarian and demon hunter. There is no substitute for skill in the game you get from lots of practical use, as long as
you make yourself be careful when playing.

 

Take your time and do not rush

 

I had 3 demon hunters die on me in Hardcore mode. Two lvl 15's and one lvl 17 and I started to use a shield and a crossbow and my demon hunter made it to lvl 30 and still alive!
