Hardcore Tips? (Minor Spoilers)

Just started this mode to get it out of the way so I can get back to farming!



But, I am dismayed on how different it is from the Normal game (should have know from the name?):

• No benefits from other characters (no Paragon GF/MF abilities)
• Stash Chest is lowest capacity
• No carry over Gold
• No carry over Gear

In other words, you get to start the game over with a new character and tougher enemies! In the first quest, you can attacked by groups of Elites and yet, you are equipped with starter weapons/armour!



So, get ready for a lot of dodging!



The Infernal Helm helps to speed up your leveling, but unless you get some lucky loot drops, I guess you need to find some friends to share the frustration!



Unless anyone else has any other suggestions?

Co-op is the way to go with Hardcore!



Just finished a 5 hour marathon and only need 7 more levels! Plus, during our session, between the two of us, we found at least
TEN Legendaries!



I was never that lucky to find that many in a regular co-op game! Additionally, he was hosting on
Easy mode!



Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow!



Sorry to hear about your HC character Lei Fang DOAX3 ... I feel your pain. You were probably playing solo?



If you need some help, I've got a collection of HC gear if you want to start over again - or if you need a co-op partner.

Unfortunately, I wounldn't be able to forgive myself if I was the reason that someone's Hardcore Character died. I'm done with Hardcore Mode.

To be honest, I found playing solo on Hardcore much easier. I have quite a few near death situations playing co-op. And many others I played with died. Playing solo on easy with the barbarian, I rarely if ever took any damage. I made to lvl 31 in 3 days
playing 10 levels a day on my days off from work.

 

The real reason people play on co-op is that 10% multi-player bonus!



Most of the time when I play co-op, we always go our own way ... which defeats the purpose of protecting each other in HC!

I know that it is just a game, the point that I was eluding to is the fact that even though you'll forgive me, I would feel so bad about what would happend if your Hardcore Character died at my expense. I can't describe it, but the guilt would eat me up
from the inside and I would rather not go through that. Please don't be mad / angry at me and I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say.

I'm with Lei Fang on this one. I had a HCc once and was killed by a Sand Wisp on level 10. Now I know that's not a high level, but the lesson was learned nonetheless. If I ever did get to 60 I would be so cautious with that Character and too paranoid to
play. It would be like deleting my normal character and starting all over. I don't even want to entertain the idea because I would be totally pissed...to the point where I probaly would not play the game from that point on.

Maybe I'm a little over the top because I'm sure I could level my character pretty high, but what's the point of putting myself through that? From what I know, there's no added benefits to going hardcore except for some self-grattitude. Besides crafting
the Hellfire Ring (which is not impressive) and the Staff of Herding (Whimeshire), all one can do is farm.
