I think you have just mentioned things for an updated standard controller.

SCUF controller are between £150 - £180, configurable paddles and adjustable triggers are not things your average gamer will be that bothers about.....definitely something for a 'hardcore' gamer.

 

LMG, "Hardcore gamer" is a self-entitled title and nothing more. So far, I think 24 said it best - you're either a person who plays video games or you aren't.

That being said, I consider myself a casual gamer. Despite that, I'm:

In tier 1 on the BF4 leaderboards for reviving teammates and LMGs.

Top 10 Lex Luthor players on Injustice.

Top 200 overall on Injustice.

Top 150 overall in Mortal Kombat.

Top 50 best Dhalsim player in U.S. on Super Street Fighter 4

Featured 2x in IGN's Top 10 Kills of the Week for Halo Reach.

Played the Sega Genesis game, Columns for 24 hrs. and maxed out the score.

 

Do you go to the bar and tell girls that to try and pick them up...?

I am positive they would get excited.

 

IMO a Hardcore gamer is someone that plays video games a lot and for a long time, not someone that is good at playing FPS.

 

When kids are introduced to video games at an early age and they start to do well at the games they play, they start to believe an illusion - the illusion is that they are special somehow...that they possess a skill that
is unique and that behooves respect! But sadly, reality will eventually come in the form of a sharp slap to the face when they realize they won't receive any special treatment from anyone in the real world. In fact, many have lived such reclusive lives in
the darkness of a basement, exercising their thumbs, devoid of human contact and without developing something that is critical for advancement in a human society - social skills. Good luck buddy!

I'm not knocking you for it but as I've said before, I love my gaming, for me though it's all about the fun, win or lose and I would never take it seriously and try and be a perfectionist at it. Yeah, try and be a perfectionist at your work, or making your
family happy, at gaming though? sorry for me and again as much as I enjoy it, it's right at the bottom of the list to the "really" important things in life.

Going by OP's posting style i am going to go with D.

 

I am most hardcore husband i have 3 kids a wife and 10 chickens a dog and two hmasters beat that. I have a spank bad kid ratio of .99.
