    Hard wired to xbox one not working


    Ever since i got my X1 I could never connect to xbox live when I try a wired connection. I have no problem connecting wirelessly. I would really like to use the wire connection for online playing. Has any one else had this problem? How do I fix this
    problem?

    Xbox One Wired Not Working

    My friends can't use the "Wired" version of connection on the Xbox One. They have a brand new Ethernet cable they just bought a couple days ago, but it always makes them connect with "Wireless". While I don't mind with them having wireless, they assure
    me that the Wired connection is many times better than the WiFi version.

    When I plug in the Ethernet cable into the Xbox One and their Contour box, the connection states "Wired" but you can't click on it, and it forces you into Wireless. While I was googling to fix this problem, I came across a thread from a few years back with
    the same problem, and this thread said the Port for the Ethernet might be friend.

    Sorry for my limited knowledge of the subject, and please respond with things I may have left out.

    Have you tried a "known" good cable and a "known" good port from you router ? Maybe use the cable and port that you use for you computer ....I went half crazy trying to fix something a while back only to find my Ethernet cable was bad , other than that it
    would have to be an internal problem with the console , im sure you already tried to reset the console...
