Hard to believe this old Xbox One criticism still pops up...

I was in my local bank today, and in conversation with the teller, the topic of game systems comes up. She has two sons who are big Xbox fans, but their family still hasn't made the jump to the One even though the boys would like one. Why? Because you
can't buy used games or play the ones you own at a friend's house. She seemed sincerely shocked when I told her I owned a console, and that none of those original plans existed anymore.

Cat videos go viral in a day, but old news like this lingers in the shadows for over a year. Makes you wonder how different the sales numbers would look if not for that E3 disaster. But I give MS credit...they've responded to some strong messages within
the marketplace, and some aggressive moves are starting to have an impact.

If only we could reach the bank tellers of the world....

Saving Progress

It auto saves, I believe a death star pops up.

It will inform you of this when you load the game up saying do not turn off the console when you see this icon..

Unfortunately you can not save it at a point of your choosing, its one of my only criticisms of Lego titles really.

 

Transfer cable - first gen Xbox to 360 slim, 250gb

this still doesn't work for me

trying to transfer data from 120GB console to new star wars console

nothing pops up and when i go to storage the old hard drive is listet with usb icon, but u cannot select Y to transfer, only u can configure now or customize

help!

 

It's simply that people latch into to bad news a lot easier and the media hype it up a lot more than good news because they get a lot more hits on their sites for it. Microsoft got absolutely hammered for the decisions they made at the beggining but got
hardly any praise for rectifying those things. It's the reason I hate the media. The other problem is that most people only here what they are fed from the media. Most don't read up on what is going on for them selves.

 

Wow. That is crazy. They obviously don't stay informed. But they are young. Glad to hear you informed them.

 

One more informed bank teller in the world good job. More people need to know the truth.

 

I was kind of surprised the boys were still misinformed...just assumed that they would have picked up on this through social media or something. But I gave the lady a good 3 minute sales pitch, so hopefully another console gets sold soon.

 

It is simple really, it is hard to break a first impression and first reported news. When stories break people go off their first impression and first info they hear and see. After that it is hard to change a persons perception of things.

Plus, how many stories do you guys read about online and then go check back days, weeks, or months to see if the story changed? I bet no one, after E3 I am sure most people just moved on and went with the info they got. Remember, most people don't hang around
in video game forums and websites.

As the above poster said people just focus on the bad. And the "In" thing to do as of late has been to bash the Xbox One. Funny thing is, the competition is shutting down their mobile app. Forcing users to use their handheld to access mobile features.
But this will be overlooked more than likely. But I hope you did make another sale lol

 

you could reach more bank tellers by writing it on 1 dollar bills...

 

I bet they also didn't know, they would only need one Gold Subscription and could share digital content over consoles, so their actually not saving money staying last gen.

 

Hell, Dashboard the other posted on here about buying an Xbox One, and he was unaware that a headset came with the console.

 

I know what you are saying OP but we need to remember all those initial DRM policies etc etc etc were NOT at E3 but at the revealing....

 

There is still allot of people that do know the situation and still won't buy ms products.

If her boys want the xb1, I hope she bought it for them
