Hard reset Xbox and almost all games (digital) will say 'do you own', Why?

Be sure to use the same account used for purchases with which you own the games (so make sure the console is correctly connected to internet and to Live service). Also, you can try deleting your profile from the console and re-download it again.

If the message still appears, try following these
instructions.

I have the same issue, though most of my downloaded games are taking me to the xbox store where it tells me i already own the game and i have the install option but well I cant as I always get the 0x800706ba error code. It's getting a little frustrating
as almost all my games are digital downloads..And the only way to rid yourself of the screen that never stops popping up no matter what you do is to hard reset the console. It wasn't until this recent update that I have had issues.

It's not a digital argument, my equipment is almost all digital and almost all of my content.

I never purchased the game, neither did the person i game share with. The game is from the hard drive i have gotten a 3 years ago....I had everything from the game to all the dlc's. I just dont understand how all of this is happening.

If you "got" it from a hard drive you bought from someone, then the person that owned the hard drive still actually owns the digital licenses for the game.

When that person changed their own Home Console (similar to the game sharing you do with your dad), the hard drive "lost" the right to the license from the original owner.

And that's probably why the game worked for 3 years, and now it doesn't. The person that originally bought the game (and "sold" it to you) just reclaimed the digital license for himself again, as digital games can't be sold.

If you bought the hard drive and paid a price for the games on it, return to the seller and demand your money back.

And if you think the grass will be greener on ps4 with digital downloads you will be mistaken.

From experience of owning a ps3 almost all digital games are more expensive than they are on xbox. Ive seen games for 60 quid on there in the past when in shops they are less than 40.
