Hard reset EVERY day...

  2. I have the exact same issue and this is on a recently replaced Xbox One. My first console had the drive noise issue and was swapped out with a new one under warranty. I have no idea what is going on as this has been happening for about a month now.

    I too have had the same issue others have had with the wireless controller suddenly losing connection during play. It comes back or reconnects quickly, but disrupts play immensely.

    I have all the current updates to both the controller and console current.

  3. I spoke with Microsoft support ( chat ) today. They were of no help, but I pointed them to this Forum link. Basically they either:

    A) Want to have a tech look at it, but its not under warranty like everyone else so f'ck that.

    "I have read the forum and it seems there are customer that also experience same issue as you have. IF you do this everyday, we might need to send the console for repair for our technician to check it and repair if there are hardware that might damage."

    B) Want to do a factory restore to default.

    "reset the console to factory default."

    C) You are *** out of luck.

    Factory reset doesn't work, been there done that. If it was a hardware problem why was it working until the Nov/Dec update? I doubt it would be happening to so many people either.

    They need to admit the broke Instant On and fix it.

    Add me to the list of people having issues, but it sounds like this problem is not as specific as some are making it out to be.

    For instance, here is my situation: I haven't played a game on my Xbox in probably a few months, at least. I know, I know - lame. But I'm in grad school, so I basically spend all my evenings working on a laptop and doing homework.

    While I do school work, I listen to Pandora through the Xbox One. If I get any free time after school, I'll typically boot up Netflix or Hulu Plus and watch either Parks & Recreation or The Daily Show. That's literally all I ever watch at this point. It's
    a quick show before bed.

    When I'm done watching, I just give the command "Xbox, Turn Off." It asks me if I want to, I say "Yes."

    It turns off, and my TV screen powers off.

    The next day, I come back, I say "Xbox, on," or "turn on," whatever the command is. I always end up having to say both because I forget!

    It turns on.

    My TV powers on.

    At the home screen, I say "Xbox, Select."

    It boots up my green options. I say "Pandora."

    Nothing happens. It's stuck. I say, "Xbox, Show menu." Nothing pops up.

    I say "Netflix." Nothing.

    It basically is just stuck where it is.

    I then either go and hold down the power button until it does a hard shut off or I go pull the plug out of the back of the xbox.

    Once I've done that, everything works fine again.

    *Edit* - I should add ... I don't have an external hard drive, either.

  6. My xbox is stuck on the black screen.. it comes onto the green loading screen and then goes black and stays like that.. u have Done the hard reset and also where you unplug it and we're you hold down the eject button and power button at same time and it
    still won't move past the black screen Hard reset EVERY day... :( any ideas ?

    That is exactly the same problem I have only it happens with other apps, not just Pandora.

    Its the same in that once the console has gone to "sleep" over night. It does not function correctly without a hard reset in the AM.

    I contacted @xboxsupport2 on Twitter. They are completely useless too.

    Hey all, I'm just starting to experience freeze ups to the point where games won't load even after doing hard resets. Did notice 2 days ago that it started to take a lot longer to load games and now just freezes. I hope Microsoft accept there is a problem
    with hardware or software with the console. Consumer act does come into play with this and microsoft will be need to provide a fix as the consumer product is not working as intended.

    I have almost the same problem. When i power on my Xbox One, it starts booting up, then drops a black screen. Everytime i power on my xbox it happens, until i Hard-Reset the console. If i played a while and powers off the console, i have to do a hard reset
    again, when i powers it back. I called the Microsoft support already, and unfortunately they unable to help, and i get *** off about that they thinking me stupid, and "Unplug the Power Supply", "Check the internet connectivity"... Awh... Hard reset EVERY day... :(

    Not just me have this problem. I hope this issue will solved by releasing Win10.

    Add me to the list of people that are having a problem with having to hard reset the xbox one almost every day. I can turn it on, but it will do absolutely nothing at the loading screen. I have to do a hard reset to get it to work, which is just kind of
    annoying. I guess after reading the replies in this thread that it's not worth my time trying to contact support, which is normally the case with Xbox Support.

    Two things:

    1) I'm in the same boat as everyone here.

    2) How has a Microsoft employee not made any kind of comment on this thread? That's absolutely atrocious customer support.

    Couldn't agree more smahbleh, it's disgraceful to not even acknowledge it, this thread is 5 pages and 70 posts long, so it's not like it's easy to miss, not to mention the many, many other similar threads, all being completely ignored.

    Add me to the list. I set my xbox to energy saving because of this crap.. It was bothering me very much. I don't mind waiting for it to boot up because when I get home I generally turn it on before I'm ready to play... What's is going to make me angry is
    when I go to play a game and I have to install a bunch of updates because my xbox couldn't download updates since it was shut down completely.

    I ended up calling into support on this issue and did an "Advanced Exchange" with my console. You pay $400 deposit that you get back when you send back your broken console. I got my replacement in less than a week. I have had the new one for about a two
    weeks without issues. Turns out there is just a bad batch of consoles out there. Save yourself further frustration and just do the exchange.
