Hard Reset: Am I missing something?

Quick question folks.

I noticed earlier that I had some tiles missing from the dashboard, I went to hard reset ( hold the power button in for 5 seconds ) to reset the console but all it does now is shuts it down.

Has it changed since last update or am I totally losing the plot? I'm sure it use to reset and turn console back on.

Major issue

Hard reset, remove/add external hard drive, hard reset again.

Are the missing games on the external or internal storage?

 

Can't go Online on XboxLIVE

it's Missing completely even if i reset to factory setting's now i use Hard connect. it works my router is the Problem.

Mine shuts off completely too Lofty, i think it always has tbh and i have to do it quite regular for the pin thing.

 

Pretty sure it has always shut down when doing a hard reset, has for me anyways

 

Yeah, it's always just shut down hasn't it?

 

Probably me doing it wrong lol but I do remember on my first console holding the power button would shut itself down but then start up again on it's own a few seconds after, odd.

 

Mine has always just shut down Lofty. I know its worked when the light on the power brick goes orange.

But saying that, I do agree, I have finally lost it :-/

Anyway, I'm off to play some MGS soon, let's hope I can remember how to turn the console on ;-)

 

Give us your thoughts on that one Lofty I might pick it up after work (despite what I said last night!)

 

I think after some updates it shuts down and then restarts.

Maybe thats what you are getting confused with mate ?

 

Mine has always shut down too bud. Though I have had missing tiles for a while even though I re-pin them lol. I give up re-pinning.
