Hard reboot turns off tv

Its smart enough not to turn my tv off during hard reboot but when powering back on it turns tv off as soon as Kinect lights up. Weird part is that it doesn't also turn off my receiver like what happens during a normal power down who ever wants the tv
off for a hard reboot thing is my question. every time I change inputs from my receiver I need a hard reboot or my tv viewing freezes

Next time this happens instead of doing a hard reboot quit the tv and turn the cable box off for 15 seconds then turn it back on and launch the tv app again.

 

UK tv issues through Xbox one

I'm using a virgin media box and my picture is fine. But when I switch off my xbox and turn it on later my tv picture is frozen or black so I have to do a hard reboot.

 

Whenever I do a hard reset, it reverses my TV and audio receiver - so every time I start up the console, my TV and audio receiver don't turn on - it's really frustrating because I basically have to do a hard reset twice just to fix it.

 

Most if not all TV's have 1 signal that turns a TV on/off. It wouldn't make sense to have one signal for on and one for off. So when you have your TV on and you have your One controlling it and you hard reboot, the One thinks you are changing the state of
the TV too. A/V equipment I am unsure on but my system reacts the same way yours does. I simply turn my TV back on after the reboot happens.

 

It sounds more like it's using the standby on and off which is the same as mine. Which means it turns TV off when you reboot. I suggest starting a thread on the feedback forum or if I remember I will mention it on the beta preview forum, I think gg can

In the short term turn off the option in preferences.

 

I have experienced this and it seems logical that a hard turn off should turn the TV off. Its just a little peeve, but these are the issues I wish were thought through a bit more.

 

Your 100% right but if we do not say this in the right place on the forums it falls on dead ears.

 

Or turn off your TV when you do a hard reboot and it will turn your TV on when it starts again.
