Hard Reboot Required Every Day

Every time I turn on my Xbox One, I have to do a hard reset (holding the power button for ~10secs) for it to work. The Xbox will turn on if I don't do a hard reset, but none of the controllers can connect, the Kinect doesn't turn on, and voice commands don't
work. After the hard reset, everything works until i turn the Xbox off. Any ideas on whats wrong?

I can confirm it's utterly broken from quite some time now.

Thankfully they are getting destroyed in the sales department.

The amount of issues I've had with this OS is insufferable.

I can't believe they're letting it rot so much.

Get a grip MS, fix your *** ***.

So just about everyday I have to hard cycle my Xbox one. I can immediately tell when my Kinect does not recognize me right away, then I have to do it manually. The game I play mostly is Destiny, and once I finish the reboot Destiny always does an update.
Not sure exactly where the problem lies down to. When I do sign in manually the XBOX is very unresponsive. any suggestions?

 

I get similar, it won't sign me either with Kinect or manually, can't start any games or apps, it brings up the load screen as if it's going to start, but just sits there until I do a hard reset.

Seems to have started doing it since the last system update.

I started a thread about it a few weeks back, but that's been ignored.

Tried xbox support on twitter, but they couldn't suggest any fixes.

 

Have you tried a factory reset thru Settings> System> Restore Factory Defaults .. if something got messed up that should bring it back to out of the box , your saves games should sync out the cloud once it restores worth a shot if nothing else works

 

If I knew a factory reset would definitely fix things I'd do it, but with 20 plus digital games that would need to be reinstalled, I don't fancy trying it on the off chance it may work.

 

Goooner, this exact same thing is happening to me and it looks like the moderators deleted my response to you (it was there this morning) - they are not very helpful. Clearing your cache won't fix this dude. I'm mad about having to do a hard reboot every
time I use the system as well. Maybe it has something to do with using an external hard drive perhaps? Would be great if the mods here would actually address the issue instead of deleting comments and then ignoring them (what they did to my previous reply
in this thread) and rather than guess, figure out a real solution since half the board here is having this same issue.

 

Maybe Bunta san is sensitive. Could be. I can think of no other reason my comment was deleted

 

Maybe it is to do with external drives, I got mine around the same time as the last update. Whatever it is, just ignoring us and hoping we go away is not my idea of good customer support.

Previous to getting the external drive and the update, I only had to do a hard reset once in the two months I'd my One, since then it's not far off every single time I start it up. I love the quick start and the automatic downloads which is why I put up
with all the messing about, but it's not working as advertised and needs fixing.

 

Similar issue here, but the only times it's happened have been when the controller shut itself off whilst the MCC is running.

 

I think the culprit is having an external HDD connected and whatever they did in the last update.

 

Let's hope they can undo it then in the next update.

 

Mine is doing the same thing without an external hard drive. I Have to reboot every day. I use my xbox to send the DirecTV signal to a projector. If I don't reboot then I have picture, but no sound. Any suggestion is appreciated.

 

Do you have your console connected to the power via any type of surge protector, or external power strip with built in surge protection? If you do, stop you using it with your console. The Xbox One's power brick has its own surge protector, using another
surge protector will cause problems such as games and apps failing to load, system freezes and lock-ups.

 

Mine's plugged directly into the wall.
