    I have an xbox slim. I have a 500gb storage unit and a 320gb storage unit, both go into the side of the xbox. So if I use the 500 one everything is smooth I connect to the internet and everything goes fast. But If I use my 320 one it takes forever to sign
    in and it will not connect to xbox live. It says my connection is fine but never connects. I cleared the cache on it. But nothing works. How do I fix it?

    Hi there,

    this might be caused by several things.

    The first thing I would try is to see if it is related to one specific Profile on that storage unit.

    For example try removing the profile, clearing the cache, power the console off, wait 60 seconds and power it on again and then download the profile again.

    If it doesn't help or it affects other profiles too then you might have to consider reformatting the storage unit, keep in mind that this will fully delete everything on that storage unit.

    If that also doesn't help then it is likely that the storage unit itself is the cause for the issue, which can only be 'fixed' by getting a different storage unit.

    From what I'm seeing today, the cheapest are 1TB USB 3.0 laptop size drives for approximately $60US. I have used Western Digital 1TB My Passport drives with my Xbox One and One S with no problems. However, the best price per byte right now is the My Passport
    Ultra Metal Edition 2TB Portable Hard Drive on sale at the
    Microsoft Store     and other online sites for about $100US.

    kinda sucks that they didn't make the slim hard drive space compatible with my original xbox 360 hard drive

    Is there a message on the screen like E68? It sounds like a hdd failure. If your console came with the hard drive you have a one year warranty on both console and hdd. If it was bought after the fact, an oem ms hdd has a 90 day warranty. Bit sounds like
