    hello I have a question, if my xbox one x is down but the internal hard drive works and I install it on a xbox one x that works, will there be any worries when I started the xbox one
    x that works or will I have to format the hard drive in question for the console to start?

    Because I said to myself that the hard drive comes from one x and go on another one x I do not see the problem all should work without losing my data

    Pretty sure it was the update. I have two 5tb hard drives and my xbox one x and both xbox one s don't recognize the hard drives now.

    Hi,

    I think you might need to format your external hard drive for it to work with your Xbox One X. If this is still possible for you, connect your hard drive to your ONE S console, Format the drive, then try it again on the ONE X. Hope this helps solve the issue.

    It was confirmed last night that any current external hard drive will work with the Xbox One X, however you may want to consider moving some of the games you play often over to the Xbox One X internal hard drive as it will probably load games quicker from
    internal HDD than your external one.
