    Hard drive vanished after Xbox update today


    today I was playing a game, (quite ticked cuz I just started it and was almost done with it) I signed off for a while and when I came back it said it had an update... I let it do its thing. Then walked away again..

    tonight I come back and go to play my game and it's gone, everything has been reset and now it says my hard drive is missing. The hard drive is. It that old and had less then 20 hours of play time on it!!!!!!

    So tonight I tried to remove the drive, and replace, nothing!!!

    So I log onto my other Xbox and sadly NONE of my game I've been playing is avail. Uggghhhhhh WTH!!!!

    Hardrive unformatted after latest live update!!

    I just finished installing the latest live update and now it says my hard drive is unformatted. About a week ago I started having problems with gta v not working and then magically the installation of gta v vanished from the hard drive after trying to download
    the latest game update. All my other games would work fine and even games I borrowed from my brother that I have never played on my console before worked fine. Now this is really bugging me that it is saying that my hard drive is unformatted after the latest
    live update, does this mean all my saves and everything is gone? whats to blame?

    external hard drive problems

    hi I've had the hard drive since xmas with no problems, but after i update the xbox today the console cant recognise the hard drive? is this an issue within the update? or like belle told me in support chat it can take 24 hours for the update to sync
    with hard drive???? I've tried the usb slots with the battery charge kit and all 3 port work fine so its not and usb fault and the hard drive works if i connect it to my laptop any ideas guys??

    To check, are you able to create new saves on your harddrive? If not, it sounds like you may need to replace it if your Xbox One isn't acknowledging it. Let us know so we can get you on the right path.

    If you have the game installed to the hard drive delete it. I noticed all the issues I had start after I installed vanished when I started running it straight from the disc.

    the rest of my hard drive is fine though, there are no corrupted files, it works, just every single saved game file, just vanished. I still have almost 200gb of game data stored and title updates
