    Hard drive turns off Xbox 1


    so let me start off by saying that this used to work with this current hard drive and nothing has changed. When I attempt to watch a video from my hard drive through media player it automatically turns off the Xbox. I have changed no settings on either
    the Xbox or the hard drive. I've tried everything. Does anybody know something that I don't?

    wont download/connect

    That status code suggests you

    1) Turn off your Xbox

    2) Remove the hard drive

    3) Reinsert the hard drive

    4) Power up and retry

    Try this.

    1. Power off xbox.

    2. Take out the hard drive.

    3. Turn on XBOX

    IF IT WORKS.

    4. Turn off Xbox

    5. Put in Drive.

    6. Hold Down Sync and Power

    .....

    See if that helps./

    2. Take out the hard drive.

    3. Turn on XBOX

    IF IT WORKS.

    4. Turn off Xbox

    5. Put in Drive.

    Xbox insider, xbox update won't let my friend play games or load apps

    Ask him to turn off the console by holding the Xbox button until the console turns off, remove the power cord for 1 minute, and remove the external hard drive from the console. Then turn on the console without the external hard drive connected and see if it can now run games and apps.

    So from what I'm seeing it's some weird cache thing on hard drives in most cases.

    Please try the following. .

    1. Power off xbox.

    2. Take out the hard drive.

    3. Turn on XBOX

    IF IT WORKS.

    4. Turn off Xbox

    5. Put in Drive.

    6. Hold Down Sync and Power

    .....

    See if that helps./
