hard drive space

what is being done about this as i am all out of space and with new games coming looks like ill have to delete WHAT A *** JOKE welcome to next gen my ***

Hey guys, I need some serious help. I recieved a 500gb xbox one for christmas along with advanced warfare and Unity. Then after both the games downloaded to the hard drive, I had already used a quarter of space! Could I have done somthing wrong?

Nope. System space takes quite a bit so you have like 360GB or something useable on a 500GB hard drive. Both ACs are like 40GB each so it sounds about right. Just buy a 1 or 2TB Hard drive and run it in to the X1, 500GB doesn't last as long as you'd think it might.

 

Surely deleting a few games and re-installing or downloading again at a later date can't be a major hassle surely?

 

it is when its taking 3 hours to install/update the dam thing lol i can only get 3mb internet due to where i live (in the woods). we shouldnt have to delete anything my xbox 360 has 300+ games + 89 arcade games and it has loads of space left ,yet the xbox
one has 11 games and no room left what so ever ive still not installed lego (super heros one ) ive also got watch dogs and wolf coming which as said ill have to choose which to delete lol even in 1990 i didnt have to deleted games to play a new one its ridiculous
and needs sorting asap IMHO

 

I know a few people that have had issues with games taking ages to install. Have you tried installing when not connected to Xbox LIVE, once installed, connect and download any updates? This seems to speed things up for others.

Hopefully at E3 there will be news of external HDD support.

 

yeah tried it turned off and is a bit quicker but not a lot and hope so but i dont think the system could handle running games off a external hard drive personally i think it needs to be switched bk to how the 360 works as even 1tb wouldnt really last long
and i like a lot of people like to swap games a lot .

 

ive even left it on sleep mode to do it and ended up corrupting my games 3 times now lol

At last! I have space for one more game myself and then I am going to be full too.

 

This won't affect most people complaining about resolution and a Kinectless model of the One being released in June because most of the people talking about these things do not own XBox One's.

For thos of us who do though then Storage is going to be the big issue for us this Summer and especially this fall.

I have barely 20GB available and "Wolfenstein" to load on my system.

Something or some things are going to have to be deleted to make some space but I want to be able to play my games when I want to play my games and not be restricted by loading times.

They can fit 3TB of disk space into a USB stick. Why can't they fit that in an XBox ONE?

 

well thats me all out of space and 2 games i cant install yet and watch dogs to come and £50 game credit i cant spend cos no room for add ons pmsl crazy
