    My Xbox 360 has a 250 gig hard-drive, however I can only use about 14 gigs. I understand some space is set aside for the system software, but I ought to have more than 14 gigs of useable space shouldn't I?

    You might check how much of your free hard drive space is used up. Even if there is room to install it, the game still needs a good amount of space to move around in. Especially with larger games like GTA. You might need to get a larger hard drive. If youve
    got lots of free space and still having issues...it could be something wrong with the internal memory that would require repair.

    I know right? But no, the hard drive itself is labeled as 250gb. I tried Googling and talking with a support member, but I haven't found anything out. Just seems strange to me.

    Did the hard drive come with the console or was it purchased separately? Was it brand new?

    Why does my Xbox one only have 365GB available out of the 500GB I paid for?

    Part of it is for system files and part of the reason is because of how manufacturers label hard drives. Hard drive manufacturers round up the amount of storage space to make it an even number, but because of the way storage size is actually calculated,
    hard drives have less than that amount of storage space. 500GB hard drives typically have 465GB of usable storage.
