Hard drive replacement - Xbox One S

Hello, I need to replace the internal 1TB hard drive for my sons out of warranty Xbox One S. We don't have any approved out of warranty Xbox repair centers in South Africa and I would like to know what the original hard drive make, model, size and specs are to ensure optimal performance. Kindly advise where I can find this info? Greatly apprecaited

Hi,

The hard drive in the Xbox One S is not user upgradeable/replaceable. If you want more storage you need to buy an external USB hard drive.

Replacing the drive yourself will void your warranty and Microsoft will no longer repair your console, even if you offer to pay. Also a larger drive will lead to a console ban as will know if your internal drive is larger than what they provide.

What do you mean you were "replacing" the hard drive?

Did you actually open the Xbox One and replaced the built in hard drive? Or did you replace an external USB hard drive?

What Xbox 360 games are you trying to play? Are you using Disc based games, or digital download games?
