Hard drive question

We just recently bought an xbox 360 with kinnect and need to know what kind of hard drive to purchase. We see options for xbox 360 slim hard drives and just a hard drive for xbox 360 that is grey. Which one will work with the xbox 360 & kinnect. Thank you.

3. Hard Drive questions!

The USB storage is good for storage, yes. There are some games that do require an HDD; I believe you need one for Halo multiplayer, but please consult the individual game for requirements. Also Xbox Original games require a HDD. And as I said before you
can use up to 16gb per device and up to two devices at a time, so you're obviously limited in space compared to a full HDD.

It sounds like USB storage might work for you in this instance, but here's a couple things to consider. If you plan on playing Xbox Original games, games that require a HDD, or want to have more games installed than 32gb without swapping out USB devices, it
might be worth your while to just get the HDD now. Hope this helps, thanks!

Hard drive question

Being connected to the internet will have no effect on transfer rate between hard drives.

Hard Drive questions!

You guys should really talk to the local dealers of gaming. I was almost about to buy an entire 320 gb. Had I done that I would have been so pissed right now.

So the USB storage device and be used for anything? No limits?

And it doesn't affect stuff like, when I play DLC or something. It doesn't lag or anything? The USB device is just as good as a regular HDD?

Thanks for the current reply. Hoping to see one more =D

Hard Drive Question?

You can use the hard drive from your old Slim in the new without worry.

-

A couple of things though. If you've installed any games then they'll have to be deleted and installed again, as for some odd reason game installs are console locked.

-

You wont be able to play anything offline either because the console license will still belong to your old 360. To change that you'll need to do a license transfer. Instructions of which can be found here
Trading it in as a 4GB console wouldn't be an option really, it's immoral and whoever purchased the console after you would be in for a shock, although I suspect the store would check before accepting the console.
Eh,
that isn't on him. GameStop considers a complete 360 console trade-in to be one with the console, working DVD drive in the console, an AV cable, power supply, and working controller. Memory unit or not does not factor into how they view the console itself.
GameStop in-store tests the console to verify it can boot and play a game DVD, that's it.

Hard Drive Question

the halo console specs are here.

www.xbox.com/.../Xbox360-320GB-limited-edition-halo-4-console

its 320GB HDD is internal.

this 250GB hdd is it external? im guessing so as you say youve removed it so im guessing all you content (profile, game saves and downloads) are on it, so that might be why you cant go online as the info it needs are on your HDD.
