Hard drive on Xbox 360 E (4gb)

Hi, i want to know which hard drive can I install on my Xbox 360 E, if it's a Sata II or III, if is needed a special format (NTFS, Fat). Thanks for all the help!

Xbox 360 E Hard Drive?

I want to get an HDD for a 4GB Xbox 360 E but all I seem to find are hard drives for the Xbox 360 S. Are Xbox 360 S hard drives compatible with the Xbox 360 E?

Will Xbox 360S separate hard drive fit Xbox 360E slot?

So i am buying an Xbox 360 E 4GB version and my friend has broken Xbox 360S 4GB but his 250GB hard drive is working and he is ready to give it to me. Will it support my Xbox 360E 4GB? Like can i insert it in the empty slot? are both the versions hard drive
of same shape? Please revert. Thank you!

You would either need a hard drive that was made by Microsoft for the 360 or you can use an external hard drive via USB.

You would need an official xbox 360 slim harddrive. That also fits in the E console. You can however use an external harddrive on the console now upto 2TB

Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. As previously stated by our awesome Ambassadors, when it comes to the Xbox 360, its recommended that you use a hard drive that is made for your Xbox 360; however, you can definitely use an external drive (flash
drive, etc) with the console for additional storage space. You do need to ensure that it is

formatted to NTFS to be compatible with the system.

What wasnt mentioned was if yiu want to play bc titles or games that reqyire an xbox hd like halo you need an offical xbox hd

The external drive will work as storage but not as a hd required games

Hi,

The 360 S and E models have an internal hard drive bay. You can but your old drive in the replacement console. The drives work on S and E.

I would advise against purchasing a old 360 4GB model, because if the on-board 4GB flash memory fails (it's not a hard drive), you won't be able to update the console anymore.

I just read that the xbox 360 E 4GB indeed has no hard drive but a flash memory. So I think you are right
