    Hard Drive Not Being Detected By Battlefield 4 And Other Games


    So here's my problem. After figuring out that I needed a hard drive, I went out and ordered a 60GB HDD and plugged it into my xbox. After that, I went into my game, Battlefield 4, and booted it up. After booting, I pressed start and it asked me for a storage
    device to put the mandatory 2GB download. Now here's the problem, when I press start it only brings up my 4GB Xbox hard drive (I have the 4GB slim), and 2 other usb devices I have in my xbox. No 60GB HDD shows up in the list. I originally put the Battlefield
    game files on one of my usbs and tried moving it to my hard drive to see if it would work. I did that and still didn't work. I want to know how to put the 2GB download on my 60GB HDD.

    Hi

    When I added an external hard drive to my console the drive format was pretty quick.

    If you have run through all of the steps listed below reference the external hard drive nor being detected and it is still not being detected then I would try to obtain a replacement external hard drive and hopefully this one should work correctly.

    - Open Windows 10 File Explorer (Windows + E), locate and right-click on the USB drive, select "Format".

    - Set the NTFS as the target file system, tick "Quick Format" and click "Start" to start the formatting.

    - When the process completes, click "OK" to confirm.

    Afterwards try to use it again.
