Hard Drive Lost Connection

This morning I was having a dozen issues, most have been resolved using steps online, but this last one is tricky. I have a Seagate 4TB hard drive I’ve used on my Xbox One for about a year now. This morning after finally managing to connect to Live and get
my controller synced, I noticed my game library was barren. The light on the hard drive is solid white, meaning it’s powered and it should be working fine. Like stated before, it’s worked for a long time. It’s the correct USB type, I’ve tried using a different
port and full rebooting, but nothing has worked. Reformatting on my PC as not changed anything. Please help, I’ve been patient all day.

Media Player disconnects after 30 minutes

Lately everytime i watch a video for about 30 minutes i get the error "Lost Connection to Hard Drive", i tried different hard drives and i get the same problem, please fix this!

Lost hard drive

so today when I got off my Xbox I removed the hard drive safely and put it on my desk went to sleep and when I woke up it disappeared and I can't re download my main profile because it wasn't a live profile but one of my profiles are.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

The message appears because the console lost connection with the external hard drive

Having the same problems. Connecting to Xbox Live after the update freezes the console.

With the hard drive removed but the ethernet connected you can connect to xbox live, with the hard drive and ethernet connected it freezes on start up, and with the hard drive connected but not the ethernet it works fine until you plug in the ethernet and
connect to Xbox Live, at which point it freezes.

I'm glad I haven't lost all my data (I had thought my hard drive was the problem), but I eagerly await a solution from Microsoft.

@Lost....Didn't know capcom did that, but lets say you're not connected the game would offload the load times to the hard drive????Instead of the cloud..

If you know someone who has a transfer cable you could try connecting your hard drive to their console to try to recover save data and possibly format it. Formatting it will completely erase the hard drive.

It sounds like your hard drive has worn out and needs to be replaced though. If this is the case then any save files that were not in the cloud are likely lost but anything you purchased can be re-downloaded at no cost.
