Hard Drive Help!

It may be a faulty Hard Drive, if you have another hard drive that you could try then you could isolate the problem to be either that hard drive, or your console, in the case of your console, you may have to send it for repair. You can find additional information

Yup. I've cleared my cache on a regular basis since having trouble with the box before this (traded-up from 20Gb model back in '10). I appreciate you trying to help, but I'm afraid the problem is much more severe. Some sources I've seen online suggest
reformatting the drive completely. I have been considering this, but if there is a problem with the drive internally, wouldn't I still end up in the same situation? Also, if the problem is with the xbox itself, not the HDD, then even replacing the HDD wouldn't
help. At this point I'm looking for some way to determine the exact nature of the problem. I would hate to spend $80+ on a new hard drive just to have to turn around and spend anther $250+ on a whole new console.

Unless it's an Official Hard Drive that you've done something to or you've done work on the console it is not considered modifying.

However, be aware that no matter how large the hard drive is you are only allotted 16 gb per usb device.

third party device and is prohibited as per the Terms of Use.



Return the HDD to the seller. Buy an official 250GB or 320GB HDD.

I just xbox 360 4gb I also bought 20gb hdd how do I install it? I do not see a place to plug in
