"Hard drive full" when not

Hello all -

My Black Ops CD is scratched so I went to marketplace to purchase a new copy. After purchasing the copy I am constantly getting an error about 5 minutes into the download (which by the way stays at 0% for the entire time) that there is not enough storage
space. I have 13.5 GB free on the drive and when I get the error I go to check and I am at 6.7 - which is less than the 6.82 Black Ops requires because in the storage it is already including the active download that has not yet budged.

I then delete and rinse repeat but constantly am getting the same problem. Any ideas?

If you own every release title then you have a full hard drive.

Faulty Hard Drive "Not Found"

Hi, I guess the only thing I can tell you is that its probably faulty ESPECIALLY if it started out with 11 GB

Hmm, thats a new one....lets see...this might be a problem with your hard drive...or else XBL

Try deleting something that will make 6.83gb available after the download maybe that'll work.

Also, If you need to clear space you would just have to uninstall a game or two

Any external hard drives used need to be 256 gigs or higher with a 2.0 usb. How much space is left on your hard drive now currently ? When you go to manage games and apps what does it show percent wise?

Thank you, his games are all on the discs that you insert. do they save data on the drive? Not sure how I access the hard drive to delete things as I have never used an xbox and am just learning. Thanks

The hard drive is full because of everything that has been installed. In order to clear space you would have to delete some games/apps.
