it looks like my system isn't recognizing my hard drive.

i first had a few screen freezes, so I thought that was the issue. I cleared the cache, but that didn't help. In fact, my system doesn't recognize the hard drive AT ALL. Tried pulling and replacing it several times to no avail. When it starts up, I get a
notice to update Live, but when I try that, it says I need 190MB of space. At last count it had over 100GB available. When looking at the drive in the system settings menu, it's noted as unformattted. When I try to format the drive, i get an error message
that says that action can't be performed. Haven't even had this console for 8 months...

Really disappointed that I'm experiencing such a serious issue on a new console.

    :)

    Hard Drive Frakked

    Hi there,

it sounds like the hard drive has failed, please go to
    http://myservice.xbox.com
you should be able order a replacement hard drive from there, it will also show if the replacement will be within warranty or not. If it is within warranty the replacement of the hard drive should be for free.
