  1. Hard drive failed to update with Xbox?

Yesterday, I was playing a downloaded game with my friend. After about 15 minutes, my xbox froze. (This happens every now and then) I then proceeded to restart my console. Upon restart, it said there was an update to Xbox Live. I then updated my console.
After that, my friend invited me to his game again. The system then said "Insert the Saint's Row: The Third disc now." I thought it was a bug or something, so I went to my games and found only 2 games; the disc I had in, and another downloaded game (This one
was downloaded to the memory unit, not the hard drive.) I then went to the settings, then storage, only to find that the console was not reading the hard drive. I assumed something went wrong with the hard drive during the update. I can't afford a new one,
because the one I currently have is about $200. Also, I don't want a new one because this would mean I would have to spend over a week waiting for things to re-download. If anyone can help, please do.

The hard drive was an official Microsoft 320 GB Hard Drive. My system is the 360 4GB Slim.

    :)

  2. Console powered up, but no video out and controllers not linking after recent game install

Off line update failed to take. I am guessing hard drive failure of some sort.

  3. All Else Has Failed - Cannot get system update: Status code: C000-0185

I cannot get the update (17489) to download. I am receiving an update failed notification with status code C000-0185.

The update has failed and failed and failed. It is a failure.

I cannot connect to Xbox Live - and feel like I have failed.

    I have done everything suggested:

    • Deleted profile
    • Cleared the cache
    • Installed from USB
    • Installed from CD
    • I didn't have a hard drive (4GB internal cache), so I bought a 250GB drive
I've tried everything I could find, and nothing has solved the problem.

    Help!

Hard drive failed to update with Xbox?

    Hi there,

it seems that the hard drive may have failed, when this happens it also thinks that an update is needed (since it is unable to find it).

So it isn't the update that caused it, but likely the hard drive.

You can try the steps on the link to see if it helps:
    support.xbox.com/.../hard-drive

Be aware that the formatting step does delete all data on the hard drive

    Let us know the results
