    Hard Drive Error


    Hey all,

    I've recently bought my girlfriends little brother destiny, and got him xbox live due to him needing it to play. But then when I went to test it - the error came up saying about needing a hard drive.

    This thread isn't a thread for people telling me not to use flash drives, this is a thread for people to advise me on exactly which hard drive to buy, I'm on a budget, it's not low - but it's not high. So any advice would be amazing..

    Did you guys have room on your hard drive? Also did the clip go over 5 minutes?

    Hard Drive Error

    The HDD should be usb 3 and larger than 250gb, I use a 2TB SEAGATE 3.0 usb, you can use larger than that I think 2tb is enough, hope this helps.

    Well, you posted this in the Xbox One portion for Destiny, but every Xbox One comes with a HDD, so I'm going to then assume you're talking about Xbox 360. If my assumptions are correct you also will need to specify what kind of Xbox 360 does he have....
    a slim? an old school fatty?

    @Eggnogga It is a Xbox 360 slim, if you could point me in the way of the best harddrive for >£50 then it'd be more than appreciated Hard Drive Error :)

    i had this problem with one of my hard drives :( i tried everything, i ended up replacing it with a new one id recommend that you replace yours too if the post above doesnt help :)

    Hi, try removing the hard drive and refitting it again, I take it you have the S or E model console, when you refit the hard drive be sure to give it a firm push into the drive bay, the hard drive may seem to be fitted ok but they can be quite stiff to get
    seated correctly. Obviously don't go using a hammer or anything to fit the hard drive, be firm but gentle.
