  1. Hard Drive Causing Xbox One X to Crash

I don’t know if this is a common issue but just today my external hard drive (Seagate 1TB) is causing my Xbox to crash. At first I was trying to move games between my hard drive and the internal drive. The hard drive a started to disconnect and reconnect
automatically so it would be interrupting the transfers. So i tried disconnecting the hard drive from the Xbox and connecting it back again. Then my Xbox crashed and powered off.

When I tried to turn on my Xbox again and the hard drive began to draw power from it, my Xbox just crashes and turns back off. However, it runs just fine when I turn it on without connecting the hard drive. I tried resetting my Xbox and reconnecting the
hard drive to another USB port but that didn’t work. What are my other options?

    :)

    Hi there.

Have you tried the HDD on another unit, like a PC ?

Hard Drive Causing Xbox One X to Crash

Yes I did connect it to my laptop and it didnt give me the notification that a device was connected. I then went to Seagate’s website and used their troubleshooting tool and it did show up there.

Why does Diablo IV keep crashing?

Sorry for that. Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? A corrupted hard drive may cause issues as well such as crashing games.

Games crashing on my Xbox One X

There are a few potential causes of the crashing issue you are experiencing on your Xbox One X:

    1. Corrupted game files: It's possible that the game files for the games that are crashing have become corrupted. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the affected games to see if this resolves the issue.
    2. Insufficient storage space: If the internal storage of your Xbox One X is full or almost full, this can cause games to crash. You can try freeing up some space by uninstalling games or apps that you are not using.
    3. Network issues: If you are experiencing connectivity issues or a slow internet connection, this can cause games to crash. You can try troubleshooting your network connection by resetting your router and modem, or contacting your internet service provider for assistance.
    4. Hardware issues: In some cases, hardware issues such as a faulty hard drive or a malfunctioning cooling system can cause games to crash. If you have tried all of the above troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, it's possible that there may be a problem with the hardware of your Xbox One X. In this case, you may need to contact Xbox support or a professional repair technician for further assistance.

Game Pass games crashing my Xbox

Are you apart of the xbox insider program? Do you have an external hard drive? If so then try moving the games that crash to the other hard drive. Are you on an xbox one, s or x? Is your console set to instant on? If so try changing it to energy saving.
Not really sure what else to do since you have already hard and factory reseted.
