    We have 12 games installed on the hard drive (no demos or music just games) today we bought wolfenstein only to be told we cannot install due to lack of space on the hard drive, and with our download speed 2mb pm taking up to 3 hours to install some games
    im hardly wanting to uninstall games as installing them again will take hours, can the games be played without installing to hard drive or do I need to purchase an external hard drive barring that a ps4 looks more promising

    I don't understand in 2015 why we have to install games on our console

    It's 2015 which is why we install games. Due to the size of today's games it is faster to load the game from a hard drive or SSD than from a disc.

    The games need to be installed and you will likely have to uninstall a game. The request for external hdd support is coming in the June update.

    Depending on the total size of games that have already been installed it is possible that the consoles internal hard drive may already be full. Please see the

    guide here     about managing storage.

    If the internal hard drive is full a compatible external hard drive can be used to expand the console memory. Details about adding an external hard drive is also detailed in the link I provided above.
