Harassment online

I am getting harassed and hate online because of the 07 in my gamertag and people think I am 7 or 8 years old, which I am not. Microsoft Support sent me here saying that the Enforcement Team can see if I can get a force change on my gamertag so people will
stop swearing at me and calling me names.

Hello Terranous, I am a Xbox Community Ambassador, and I reccomed reporting the player, or allowing me to report the player by sending me a message of this gamertag, whereas I cannot help you further without a gamertag to report.

 

No dice. If you want to change your gamertag, you'll have to fork out the $10 to do so.

If people bother you that much, do the common sense thing: Block, mute communications, and avoid that player. You could even file a report on them via your console if things are really that bad.

Well I think I have now heard it all.

 

Report, block and mute is what I always do. There's not much else you can do otherwise.

Pretty much what i do is hit the mute all button,less they send you hate mail then you can report and block them after

 

And next year you'll change it to 08? I'd like to meet the dummy that thinks it's your age. Clearly it's the year you were born.

 

It's a well know scam posted on various modding sites. Claim to be harassed and support will give you a free name change.

Microsoft got wise to the scam years ago though and now they just turn them down or send them here to ask. Doesn't stop people from trying though sadly.

 

People keep saying "You're my boy, Blue!" to me. I feel harassed... I'd like a free GT change please.
